This is the second year that UUCE has held a Día de Muertos service. Its origins go back into the Maya tradition of Central America. It gives us a chance to memorialize our ancestors of long ago and those whom we have lost in the prior year. This year was especially meaningful to me because in 2015 I had to attend the funerals of three of the people to whom I was very close.
Everyone had a chance to tell us about one of their ancestors that they would like to memorialize. Perhaps next year you can tell us about your ancestors. Come join us on Sundays (but not the Sunday after Thanksgiving.)
